"Nothin' but a Hound Dog!"

As all good stories start... once upon a time Vegas Elvis was simply known as Craig, until one night at a Round Table 238 charity event he decided to join glam band `Glitter and Twisted´ on stage. Craig had given the odd Elvis performance previously, after a few too many drinks at parties, and so he asked the band if he could do a couple of Elvis numbers with them.

"Just a quick thank you on behalf of myself, Chris and all that
attended Larraine's suprise 60th on Sunday. You were absolutely
fantastic and made the party a huge success. There wasn't a single
person in the vine not enjoying themselves. I'll definitely be
recommending you to anyone who asks.
"
Thanks again, Kelly Marsden.

Following this, Vegas Elvis gigged and toured with Glitter and Twisted for about
a year, performing up and down the country. Being in the Elvis zone gave him such a
buzz for entertaining, whether that was for just 30 minutes or a couple of hours. All this
was back in 2003, and his performances are still as fresh as the day he started -
just a little more polished!

"To do this you have to be able to FEEL Elvis - from the little finger on your right
hand to the toes in your left boot!"

"Just a note to say a big thank you from both me and my dad for making our party such a special day. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed your act and have said they would have you themselves for any future parties they may have - which speaks volumes!
Not only did my head ache on Sunday but my knees and back have plagued me all week from all the dancing- I loved it!
"
Many Many thanks, Diane and Colin, Cottonstones House.

Away from the stage, Craig works in the printing industry and lives with his family on the outskirts of Halifax. His daughter, Abbie, is perhaps Vegas Elvis´ biggest fan and she even refers to him as 'Daddy Elvis'.

Vegas Elvis is Craig’s alter ego - his escape from reality - and, as long as he gets the buzz, he’ll continue to think up different ways to deliver the King’s (and other people’s) music - just as the man himself did. Vegas Elvis now has a new band, Psychoslinks and is taking the North of England by storm. He is well known in the Calderdale area and is being booked further afield.

"We had a fantastic time at our wedding party at York racecourse and hiring Vegas
Elvis was a great idea as it really gave it that extra kick and made it memorable for
us and for our guests. He got people up and dancing which is sometimes difficult
to achieve at wedding dos and therefore really added to the party atmosphere.
I danced so much I hardly spoke to the guests! It was a fab night!"

Craig Simcock is the man behind the jump suit and shades and, in Craig´s words, "to do this you have to be able to FEEL Elvis - from the little finger on your right hand to the toes in your left boot!"

“I go through every show like my life depends on it! Some people in the audience have seen me before and have high expectations, others have never seen me, but I want them to leave blown away by the performance.”

About the Show

“The early 70's period is when I think 'The King' was at his best - totally in tune with his audience and a polished performer. It’s why I focus only on this time of his career.”
